Procedure
1 . Soak the collected tips of vegetable fern young fronds in cold water for some minutes and rinse well. You may also blanch them in boiling water beforehand.
2 . In a big bowl, mix blanched fern, vinegar, tomato, garlic and onion.
3 . Add sliced salted egg on top then serve

(Fern Salad)

Ingredients
• 2 cups pako tips and leaves (Diplazium esculentum)
• 1 pc salted egg or itlog na pula, peeled and sliced
• 2 pcs medium tomatoes or kamatis, chopped
• 4-5 cloves garlic or bawang, minced
• 1 pc small bulb onion or sibuyas, minced
• salt
Procedure
1. Soak the collected tips/leaves of young pako fronds in cold water for some minutes and rinse well. You may also blanch them in boiling water just before soaking in cold water.
2. In a big bowl, mix fern tips and leaves, tomatoes, garlic and onion. Season with a sprinkling of salt.
3. Top with slices of salted egg and serve.
