1 . Hugasan ng mabuti ang pikaw
2 . Gayatin ito at ihiwalay ang stem at dahon
3 . Mag-gisisa ng bawang. sibuyas at luya
4 . Ilagay ang sardinas
5 . Pagkumulo na ang ginisang sardinas, ilagay ang tangkay (stem) ng pikaw
6 . Magkalipas ang ilang minuto ilagay ang dahon ng pikaw
7 . Pag malambot na ang pikaw, maari na itong ilagay sa malinis na lagayan
